Room was very small but clean and the bed was comfy. The room was very warm, although their was no heating on. A fan was available. The downside the terrible smell that was in the hallway made us gag. The sign said it was from the drains outside, but it could only be smelt on the inside.

I can definitely recommend this place to stay! The location is perfect, everything you need is at hand. All attractions are within walking distance. Parking is 2 minutes walk from this place for £11 24 hours. Very easy to find the house and simple instructions. Everything is very clean, cozy and homely! We were very glad that we chose this place! Thank you and prosperity!

We've just got back from our stay at Cobbleview Rooms and we're very pleased with our time here. The hosts promptly contacted us after we made our booking and provided us with all the information we needed on how to find and access our room. The location is absolutely perfect when visiting Whitby as you are right in the heart of it all. Just a short 2 minute walk to the 199 steps and a minute or so further down the street leads you to the beach on the east side of the harbour. This was perfect as within 5 minutes of walking out the front door you can be sat on the beach with a coffee taking in the sunrise/sunset. When booking a stay we always pay close attention to other reviews, and they didn't disappoint. We had heard that cleanliness here was exceptional and it was. We have no complaints in that department. The facilities provided were everything you could need, there was soap/shower gel, a hairdryer, kettle with good selection of various teas, coffees and milks (oat and dairy), a very good sized mirror, a fan (which we needed as the weather was warm and sunny!), a TV and earplugs were also provided, which we didn't need to use. I have probably missed some additional facilities but I can't remember them all. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep all week, there were plenty of pillows provided as well which is great. The bathroom and shower were also very good, the bathroom was very spacious. The views from the room were of the nearby streets and it was a pleasant view. There was no parking with the rooms but this wasn't a problem. Multiple car parks in Whitby which are just a short walk from the hotel, we would recommend Church Street car park, however, there isn't many spaces and it is usually rather busy. As an alternative I'd suggest the Marina Front car park as the walk from the car to the hotel is flat. The Abbey Headland car park is another option but it is a downhill walk from the car to the hotel which isn't an issue, but the uphill walk back to the car with luggage after check out wouldn't be fun. All in, we would definitely stay here again. I loved how straightforward the check in / check out process was which means that when arrive you are immediately in your room and getting ready to go about your day.

We were delighted with our room situated in the older part of whitby; very convenient. The room was spotless, spacious, the bed- comfortable the coffee was of high standard. Thanks Nicole we would highly recommend your accommodation.

Spent 2 nights here, husband booked it for us, the room was lovely, had everything we needed. Clean and tidy. We were contacted shortly after room was booked and again a couple of days before our stay. In a great location and we will definitely book again when we next visit whitby

Having booked online, I was soon contacted by the host, welcoming me & confirming my contact details. On the day of arrival, I was informed of the external door code & the room key-safe code (to obtain the room key), together with a check-in time. The room (Room 5) was located on the too floor. It was spacious, clean & tidy. There was a refreshment tray containing a selection of hot drinks, cordial powder & packets of biscuits. Complimentary bottles of water were also provided. The bathroom contained soap, shower gel & soft towels. The views from the window looked out onto a narrow cobbled lane and further views over neighbouring rooftops towards the Church of St Mary at the top of 199 steps. Although with the windows open, traffic and church bells could be heard, packs of ear plugs were provided to assist with undisturbed sleep. Friendly hosting, Excellent sized room, Complimentary items & Perfect location ensure that I will try to book this place on my next visit to Whitby.

Right in the heart of Whitby so in the morning quite noisey with traffic. This would not have been so obvious but very hot weather so had windows open Other a lovely room with lots of extras. There was a mell of fish on entering the building which was quite strong.

Were here for our anniversary and wanted something close to the town and port, this room is ideal, 2nd floor so great view and lovely and clean will definitively return and stay again.

Sad really !!! I can’t fault the communication I had before we arrived , Nicole was very helpful . The room was lovely and clean with everything there you would need , little thoughtful touches such as cotton wool balls , iron, hairdryer etc … We noticed a smell as soon as we entered the front door which seemed to get worse as we got to the 2nd staircase ( carpeted ) it smelt like rotten fish or meat , so in the morning I text Nicole to ask if she was aware of the smell and maybe there was a problem she needed to address, we could smell it in our room also . Nicole came straight away to our room and said she couldn’t smell anything , but would ask the other tenants if they could .. she said they said no ! My daughter had booked me the room for 2 nights and I had asked if I could book the 3rd night and pay for it myself on arrival, which Nicole booked and agreed to do .. until we complained, then she said she would prefer if we went elsewhere for the 3rd night and gave us 2 alternative accommodation and phone numbers … The next morning we left quite early , there was a strong smell of Zoflora on the tiled staircase (1st ) and the front door was left ajar … we passed a few times that day and the door was left open every time. In my opinion the smell was coming from the carpet on the 2nd staircase, which needs maybe deep cleaning or replacing.

This hotel is ideally located right in the centre of Whitby. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful, ensuring we knew everything we needed to know to self check in (in good time) and offering to be there in person if required. The room itself was absolutely immaculate, perfectly clean and nice and warm. Excellent tea and coffee (and hot chocolate and biscuits!) facilities with a hairdryer available too. The bathroom was again perfectly clean with complimentary shampoo, shower gel and soap. The towels were perfectly clean. The decor is absolutely lovely and made the room feel very homely and cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable and clean with adequate duvet and blankets. She kindly put the heating on for us so it was lovely and warm throughout our stay, and was only a text away if we needed anything (we didn't, but was great to know she was easily contactable). Overall, this town centre hotel is an absolutely wonderful place to stay and everything was just perfect. 10/10.

Amazing rooms, look like they've been freshly decorated for you, (no paint smell though). Beautiful comfortable room with everything you could possibly need and more. Very friendly and on hand if need anything x x would definitely stay again x x
